Dr. Thomas A.J. Basora, DDS

Dr. Basora was born and raised in Northern California and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Small Business/New Ventures from California State University at Hayward.  While attending college classes, he had the opportunity to travel and observe in the dental schools at both the Kasturba School of Dentistry in Manipal, India as well as the University of Washington School of Dentistry.  Both experiences solidified his desire to pursue a career as a general dentist.  He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating in 1996. 

Upon graduating from dental school Dr. Basora associated with two dental practices in Plumas County, California and after realizing there was an underserved segment of the local population, he helped to established the dental clinic at Eastern Plumas Health Care in Portola.  This experience in hospital dentistry allowed Dr. Basora to provide a broad range of dental services that has proved invaluable in private practice. He updates his training regularly in many areas of modern dentistry, including restorative dentistry, cosmetics, Invisalign and sleep apnea.

Dr. Basora feels the field of dentistry is a great combination of science and art, and that suits his strengths well.  He is committed to providing patients with a safe and comfortable environment which allows them to look good, feel healthy, and be confident they are making good decisions about their oral health care.  Dr. Basora relishes the interactions he has with his patients and finds great joy in making connections with members of his community.

The Doctor, his wife Emma and their two boys enjoy many of the outdoor activities our area has to offer from skiing to paddle boarding and bike riding at Lake Tahoe to hiking the many trails in the Lakes Basin area above Graeagle.

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Pham earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside.  He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2013.  Dr. Pham continues his post graduate dental education focusing on the areas of esthetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitative and restorative dentistry, and oral surgery along with root canal therapies, which are his passion.

First and foremost, Dr. Pham desires to establish lifelong patient relationships.  He takes great pride in improving his patient’s oral health and keeping their smiles healthy, functional, and beautiful.   Dr. Pham’s main goal is to make every dental experience fun, gentle and successful. 

From a single filling to a full mouth rehabilitation using the finest materials, technology and techniques, Dr. Pham strives to educate his patients about their oral health and offer recommendations for improvement.

In his spare time, Dr. Pham enjoys the outdoors and sports.  Spending time with his wife, two boys, friends and family are the biggest treasures for Dr. Pham.  Dr. Pham loves getting to know the community and his patients and to provide the most comfortable experience possible in the office.
